God of War Chains of Olympus

You play God of War on PS 2? Then you gotta see this game on portable. Here's my review on God of War : Chains of Olympus

Graphics--
One of the core part of any game and here as before God of War does not fall back in any manner. It pushes the mighty Portable to its limits. In fact it directly competes with its console bretherens and closes up on beating the God of War. As always not me but all those who have played this game will say that its graphics are flawless. There persists a problem that because of this heavy duty graphics there is some lag during the gameplay but it will almost look non persistent.I rate it full in the graphics part.
10/10

Story--
One important aspect of any game. This game's story is mind blowing. It tells the story about Kratos's past, before the first God of War on the PlayStation 2. The story is quite deep and will hold you till the end. It may not be as well done as the PlayStation 2 games but its still better than most of the PlayStation Portable games out there.Almost the best!
9.5/10

Game Play--
The most important aspect of a game. Well put it that way, this game has got the game play which will help this game to stay in the top three position for a long time to come. Veteran God of War players will say that it is difficult to find anything new but you dont need to. If the model is already crafted in a perfect manner than why change it? It is in,little words, the good old hack and slash with blood and limbs flying here and there.Blades of Chaos are back and there is some magic also. Boss fights are less but what is there is highly enjoyable content. Combat remains the same but if I recall correctly it was perfect. With innumerable combos and gravity defying stunts, the combat is matched by none other. One flaw with the game play is that there are very less puzzles but still it falls into the action genre so who wants puzzles? The game play is very satisfying and almost divine!
9/10

Play Time and Replayability --
This is one major flaw of this beautiful and almost perfect game that it is very short. And by very short I mean only 5 to 6 hours with no multiplayer.I finished it in two days but the option is always to play the game in higher difficulty and feel rewarding when you complete it at the highest difficulty! Good but could have been longer.
7.5/10

Closure--
This game is a must buy! For veterans and new comers alike will have a blast playing this master piece. So,what are you waiting for? Stuff some cash in your pocket and run to your nearest store and buy this Godly game!

A Must Own Game!

Overall Score: 9/10

Patapon

This is the game that very innovative, cool and very replayable.

I had fun but I must have looked like a total nerd as I sat there tapping the beat out. What I didn't realize is that Patapon is all about keeping a beat and while you only gain three different beats it's about keeping them in time with each other and knowing which to use and when. Confused?

The basic idea of the game is that you, the gamer, is some magical drummer (the Patapon) who will lead these little eyeball guys to IT. The whole point of the game is this journey that you lead them on, searching for this mysterious IT. It's kind of cute and funny and while it's far from deep and the internet slang does get a bit tedious, it just has its own charm.

It's simple yet fun and it's very addictive as I finish the game. The actual game play mechanic rely on you being able to keep a beat of four. It sounds easy and it is but try keeping that beat in a steady combo for five minuets and thinking about which four beats to use.

The first beat you learn is three squares plus a circle button. This has your troops march forward. To attack you hit two circle, one square and a circle. To guard it two triangle, one square and one circle. But remember that you must keep the beat (think of it as button, pause, button, pause and repeat that) Once you finish a beat of four the eyes say some words in four beats (usually a tip on what you should tap) and then you hit your beat again so it creates a nice little march.

To keep it all refreshing is an ever changing musical score which is up beat and urban but maintains the four beat rule. It's very pleasing to the ears and I would recommend playing this title with the headphones on.

Not only does it sound good but this game is very pretty. It's style reminds me of Locoroco a bit with the bright colors and while enemies and terrain may be limited, the bosses tend to provide a nice shadow based look which reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus but toned down in size.

The game isn't all that long but it contains some side missions and you can replay every boss and they get harder each time. You can also hunt for new weapons and do some little mini games here and there (which don't follow the four beat rule).

All in all I'd recommend this game for anyone who is into the rhythm genre as I haven't come across one since the Bust a Groove days which I sucked at and still bought both games but hey, I use to buy pretty much every game. It's a $20 worth game to buy.
